What is WOW?
Wipe out Waste (WOW) is a FREE South Australian initiative, funded by Green Industries SA and delivered by KESAB environmental solutions, that encourages a whole school or site approach to waste reduction.
Since 2006, WOW has been supporting education sites, from pre-school to year 12, to:
reduce waste/materials to landfill
increase opportunities to learn about waste reduction and resource recovery processes
improve systems to reduce waste and recover resources
adopt and promote sustainable behaviours.
Education sites become a WOW partner site, with access to WOW activities, events and support, by completing any of four Entry Programs.
There are four engagement levels for WOW partner sites, each with access to different resources - Starting, Challenging, Committing, and Transforming.
The Wipe Out Waste Engagement Roadmap illustrates the path to waste reduction, and the Wipe Out Waste Resource Map shows the free activities, events and support that can help you in reaching your waste reduction goals.
